Just a few miles from Henderson, in any direction, there are amazing wild areas to explore. Henderson has over 120 miles of biking and hiking trails. On this page you will find pictures of some of our favorite places to explore.
I was pleasantly surprised when a friend took us to this little oasis in the desert. Located just over the Nevada border in California near Tecopa, China Ranch is a must see. Surrounded by miles of desert in every direction, near Death Valley, this ranch is a welcome site. As you drop down into a valley as you enter the contrast between the desert and this beautifully green area is amazing! The farm has an extensive shop offering homemade date products from their trees, antiques, souvenirs, handmade products from local artists. I bought a real stuffed alligator or something like that. I can't wait to go back and do some exploring when it gets cooler! (1 1/2 hour drive from Henderson, NV)
